Explore the wonderful sites of Greece which roots itself to ancient times, a crossroad of colors and cultures. Experience the strength of history and the warmth of the southern extremity of Europe and discover the evolutionary course of thought, influence and experience.

Upon arrival at Athens, the tour will begin by visiting historical sites such as the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Panathenaic Stadium, Syntagma Square, the House of Parliament, the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier, the National Library and the Hadrian’s Arch, the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike and the Erectheion on the first two days of the tour.

On the third day, you will visit Aegina, Poros and Hydra, three unique islands while enjoying a full day cruise.

Day four will take you to many more historical sites; Corinth Canal, the ancient theatre of Epidaurus, the Royal Tomb of Agammemnon (leader of the Troy War), and conclude the day by visiting Olympia, the cradle of the Olympic Games where the original Olympic Flame begins its journey for the Olympic Games.

During the next two days of the tour you will be taken to Delphi to visit the original Olympic Stadium, some other archaeological sites and then proceed to Central Greece; Kalambaka (Meteora).

Entire day seven will be spent exploring Meteora and then you will transfer back to Athens via Trikala, Lamia and Thermopylae in the evening.

During the morning hours of the eighth day you will depart Athens back to Colombo.

Day 1: Arrival at Athens

(Dinner)

Upon arrival at the Athens Airport, our tour guide will assist you in transferring to the hotel where you can spend the rest of the day leisurely. Athens is an amazing city to discover on your own with its wonderful parks, museums and the shopping areas of Kolonaki, Hermou, Voukourestiou Street, Monastiraki and Plaka. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 2: Athens

(Breakfast)

After breakfast, you will be picked up from the hotel for your half day tour where you will visit Syntagma Square, the House of Parliament, the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier, the National Library and the Hadrian’s Arch. Thereafter, you will also visit the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of the modern era were held in 1896. On the Acropolis you will visit the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erectheion and finally “the harmony between material and spirit”, the Parthenon. Lastly, you’ll be taken to the place where the statues found their home and admire the wonders of the classical era, the new museum of Acropolis (closed on Mondays). You may spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 3: One Day Cruise (Aegina-Poros-Hydra)

(Breakfast/Lunch)

After breakfast, you will be picked up from the hotel and transferred to the port for a full day cruise to the three Saronic Islands of Aegina, Poros, Hydra. Lunch will be served on board. There after you will visit all three islands, each different in nature. After the cruise you will arrive at the port in the evening and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 4: Athens-Olympia

(Breakfast/Dinner)

After breakfast, you will be picked up from the hotel. Depart Athens and stop over at the Corinth Canal. There after you will be driven to the ancient theatre of Epidaurus which is famous for its acoustics. The town of Nafplion will be visited before arriving in Mycenae, the archaeological site and the Royal Tomb of Agammemnon (leader of the Troy War). The tour will be continued across the central Peloponnese to Olympia, the cradle of the Olympic Games where the original Olympic Flame begins its journey for the Olympic Games. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 5: Olympia-Delphi

(Breakfast/Dinner)

After breakfast, you will visit the original Olympic Stadium and the Archaeological museum. Thereafter, you will be driven North to Patras and cross the new bridge over the Corinthian Bay from Rion to Antirion and continue via the towns of Nafpaktos and Itea to Delphi. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 6: Delphi-Kalambaka (Meteora)

(Breakfast/Dinner)

After breakfast, you will visit the archaeological site of Delphi on the slopes of Mt. Parnassus and see the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios, Castalia Spring and the museum. In the afternoon you will leave Delphi for an interesting trip through Central Greece to Kalambaka (Meteora). Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 7: Meteora-Kalambaka (Meteora) – Athens

(Breakfast)

After breakfast, tour Meteora with its impressive scenery, ageless monasteries suspended between earth and sky. Inside, you may witness priceless historical and religious treasures. Afterwards you will return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia and Thermopylae. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 8: Departure to Colombo

(Breakfast)

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back to Colombo and take back sweet memories of Greece with you.

Requirement for short stay visa

  • The applicant should call over in person
  • One application form should be perfected with one recent passport size photograph
  • A current passport must be valid for at least 6 months longer than the intended stay
  • Proof of previous travel. ( i. e. previous passports if any )
  • Applicant should be in possession of confirmation of return air-ticket
  • Each applicant should tender correct fee with the application form
  • Photocopy of the bio page of passport and any amendments

Child policy

  • Children of less than 2 years old travel for free except for visa and departure tax
  • Children from 2-5 years old pay 50% (approx) of adult rates sharing parent rooms
  • Children from 6-12 years old pay 70% (approx) of adult rates sharing parent rooms
  • Rate per person is decided based on No of adults only from above table of rates (children are not considered)

Insurance policy

  • Foreign Passport Holders should obtain their own Travel Insurance from their country of residence
  • Please note generally in case of any illness or accident, a 2 weeks hospital stay in overseas countries and repatriation by air generally cost approximately over US $ 50,000/-
  • If payments are made by a Credit Card please check with your Bank

Please note

The above quotation is subject to availability and rate of exchange at the time of booking. No rooms are being held as of yet. In the event we do not have sufficient number of passengers, the rates will be revised.

When bookings are made on twin sharing basis, your room mates are allocated according to the order in which bookings are made unless otherwise you have brought in your room mate at the time of booking. Once payments are made on twin sharing basis you cannot change to a single room.

Single rooms could be allocated only when the bookings are made paying the additional supplement at the time of booking.

Furthermore after the tour has commenced no single room could be made a double nor a double room made a single.

Please note that when you are traveling with friends and relatives we cannot guarantee Rooms on the same floor at the hotel.
